Hello, I was delivered a left front headlight that I had ordered on eBay on July 15, 2024. Unfortunately, due to my personal financial problems, I was only able to have it installed by my mechanic recently, and during the installation the control unit turned out to be defective and was causing an error. I know your return window stops at 30 days from receipt of the part, but now I have this defective headlight that I can’t even resell because it’s faulty. So I am demanding to return it, or at least to agree with you on a possible solution. I hope you can understand me, especially because the part cost me almost €1000 and is completely useless.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon

Mentore1 year agoPutting eBay aside, in your case you can't even ask for the application of the legal warranty.
If a part is installed by a third party not explicitly authorized by the seller, the warranty is void. No one will be able to determine whether it was a pre-existing defect or caused by incompetence during installation.
The installer must buy the part, install it, and guarantee both the part and the installation.
You can try to do a chargeback on the credit card, but it will be very hard for you to be right.
