Refund failed because the "seller" appears to have moved

Good evening

what can I do to get a refund if the item I had purchased, and then decided to return because it was damaged, is sent back to me, with the postal label showing two delivery attempts and, in the end, a final date with notification of transfer from the seller?

If the item was damaged and therefore not as described, the return label was the seller's responsibility, why didn't you use that one?
