Refund from eBay
Summary: The discussion concerns a refund from eBay, but no details were provided in the participants’ posts.
I’m a small seller, and during the Christmas holidays an order was more than a week late compared to the expected delivery time. The buyer opened a ticket for item not received; I explained the situation and we waited. The item arrives, and he calls it a “defect” because it wouldn’t stand up, even though I wrote in the description that the figurine needs glue to be attached. So he sends a refund request for item not received, citing the “issues” he mentioned, and I tell him to submit the refund request so I could accept it. Silence for 3 days, he opens a request with eBay support, and today I get that I “didn’t prove the item’s arrival” with a full refund of the funds, even though eBay support itself confirmed delivery and he did too. What should I do?

Mentore1 year agoFrom the moment he opened the refund procedure for item not received, you had 3 business days to respond with the package tracking code. After your refund refusal, the buyer did not change the procedure from not received to not as described, but instead asked directly for eBay's intervention and support, and since they did not see your response, they closed the procedure in his favor.

OP1 year agoThe problem is that I didn’t refuse; I replied to the user and called support, who assured me that the refund request would be closed automatically since the package showed as delivered. It’s absurd that, despite us having proof of delivery, they accepted the refund
