International shipping with priority international mail
Hello everyone. I sent an item with international postapriority. The customer tells me the item hasn't arrived but unfortunately the post office didn't give me anything to prove that the shipment was made. What should I do? When I asked eBay, they basically told me that in the event of a dispute I lose 100%. How do you handle these cases? thanks everyone in advance

Mentore2 years agoFor any distance selling system and for any destination, all you can do is issue a refund.
Nothing would have changed even with a shipping receipt (only proof of delivery counts).

OP2 years agoSo basically it’s always better for the customer to choose untracked shipping. If it goes badly, the seller loses out; if it goes well, they’ve spent less.

Mentore2 years agoThe customer can only choose among the options offered by the seller.
If the seller offers untracked shipping, they do so at their own exclusive risk and peril.

OP2 years agoI do understand, let’s say it doesn’t make sense because really the risk should be taken by the buyer in order to save money, knowing that the seller, in case of loss, can’t do anything about it.

Mentore2 years agoLet’s say that the law (Legislative Decree 206/05) requires professional sellers to still take on the risk until delivery into the buyer’s hands.
The vast majority of marketplaces, to encourage customer trust, contractually require the same thing from private sellers as well.

OP2 years agoYes, I understand. I don't find it fair as a thing because as a buyer, in case of non-delivery, I never allowed myself to give sellers trouble in case of loss because I was aware that the problem could arise.
