International shipping costs
Good morning.
Is there a way to charge shipping costs after the sale of the item? There are 193 countries in the world, it is physically impossible to calculate the shipping costs in advance item by item.
Thank you!

OP2 years agoI have around two thousand inherited books on all sorts of different topics to put up for sale, from 100-gram paperbacks to 3 kg volumes each in series of 15.
If eBay made the evolutionary leap from the tree to an upright posture, maybe thanks to wonderful artificial intelligence, it wouldn’t be unwelcome.

OP2 years ago(anyway thanks, I’ll think about it and probably in the end I’ll turn to an antiquarian bookseller: eBay is still too cumbersome)

Mentore2 years agoWell... thinking of delegating to artificial intelligence the things that human intelligence could do as well says a lot...
Have a nice day.

There are 15 zones and, for an average private-to-private shipment, there are variable weights from 0 to 30 kg: from the app it's impossible to determine a price for each of these parameters, which are dozens. It would be enough to give the potential buyer the option to enter a postal code, ask first how much shipping costs, and allow the seller to reply precisely.
Along with the fact that eBay charges commissions also on shipping costs, the only comment I can repeat is: terrible.

Mentore2 years agoFrom a PC it’s possible... also because you have 8 items for sale and I don’t see it as that complicated.
Have a good day.

In general, all couriers use price bands for world zones; usually there are no more than 15 zones.
Just create the appropriate tables and apply them to your listings.
Keep in mind that if you don't set the shipping cost, the user from that country won't be able to complete the purchase.
Kind regards.
