Incorrect conversion rate

Good morning, these days I was trying to buy a camera lens from Japan worth $375 (dollars) that the listing shows me as a conversion rate in euros of €361 (euros), but at the time of payment I noticed that the conversion was not recognized, and instead it asked me for €376 and not the €361 that were shown in the listing. I should mention that there are no shipping costs in the listing. One thing I noticed is that the conversion rate offered by PayPal was different from the current one and from the listing's, and this line only appears at the time of payment. Why doesn't PayPal's Dollar/Euro conversion rate match either eBay's or the real one? Attached photo.

OP1 year agoThe answer to my question is this conversion fee was not clearly disclosed at the time of purchase.

OP1 year agoGood morning, I obviously checked the dollar-to-euro exchange rate before making the post and it hasn't been changed; moreover, I've already purchased from Japan without experiencing this missing conversion. Furthermore, the fact remains that when you use the dollar as currency of exchange, you choose which type of dollar to use, and the one adopted is the American one. In my opinion, there is an unspecified loss of money.

conversion rates are variable, not constant, and not the same for everyone.
