Hi, I've had my ebay account *****@gmail.com blocked for years for 3 euros even though I've never sold anything!!!
Can you unlock it for me please!!!

·2 years agoSmall NOTE that you didn't write here on the forum: eBay writes "we are pleased to inform you that we have received payment of the eBay fees and have proceeded to reactivate your account"
You had already been told (if I remember correctly by sika700) that if you had gone ahead and paid what was due, you would have gotten your active account back.
In conclusion, rather than the "you have to believe it", you have to "pay what is due" 😎

·2 years agoIn many countries they apply a purchase tax even if the purchase is made on the online platform.
This possible tax or taxation may be included in the sale price, added to the payment, depending on the sale price, place of origin, and delivery address. In the case of a recent purchase, each item is specified at checkout. For example, when I use Paypal for my purchases, I have everything noted before giving payment approval. Best regards from von

·2 years agoThe fees for the sale are borne only by the seller; as the buyer, you pay the item cost + shipping cost.
Anyway, you can use Paypal by entering your credit card details, so Paypal will filter those details and, by making the payment using Paypal, you’ll enjoy its additional purchase protection on top of eBay’s.

OP2 years agomaybe eBay asks for both a percentage and the listing fee if it asks me for money even if I haven’t sold anything.
but that’s not okay like that, you can’t even start selling from "zero euros" at the outset in theory

OP2 years agobut I didn’t choose any selling option, they put it there automatically. other sites don’t make you pay anything to sell with a basic option!
why do they?
I can’t read everything, otherwise I won’t have a life anymore!

·2 years agoEbay notifies you by email if there are any irregular situations.
Maybe you opened an account with a new email and/or a secondary email address that you never checked...
Or maybe you realized that ebay was asking for money but you didn't pay attention to it.
Now the time has come to put something up for sale again, but you've noticed the account is blocked.
You probably opened this antlep-41 account thinking you could bypass the problem, but you noticed that there is an irregular situation under your name, so every account you open gets limited.
Years have passed and you don't remember why you have these 3 euros to pay.
Then if you don't want to pay this money because you think it's not fair (but you don't remember what you did back then because so much time has passed) I think it's hard for you to get the account unblocked.
The options available to you to solve your problem are these:
A) Contact ebay support with the intention of paying this balance and ask if they can reactivate your account.
B) Open another account in another person's name, entering the account held by this person, making sure not to use the same computer / phone and the same internet connection. But it's not said that this operation can last over time, you might find yourself blocked when you least expect it; a minimum lack of attention is enough, maybe accidentally using the shared wifi, or maybe having GPS or bluetooth on by mistake, the browser with cookies, logging in from another place, entering the same shipping address to receive the items, etc, and you end up with the account blocked 😎, because ebay is equipped with systems/algorithms that carry out a varied series of checks and cross-referencing of data.
If you want to keep selling on ebay I strongly recommend option A, pay these 3 euros and get it off your mind.

·2 years ago.... so, if you haven't sold, the 3 euros you owe eBay are not commissions but insertion fees for extra paid services that you chose (e.g. reserve price).

·2 years agoDoes Ebay have to reconsider its policies because a single user listed an item without having the faintest idea of what they were doing?
The world does not revolve around us INDIVIDUAL users; maybe lots of users joining together in a class action could produce a result, but usually the egocentrism of the individual produces no appreciable effect.

You may have used subtitles
You may have listed the item in more than one different category
You may have inadvertently sponsored the listing
You may have entered a reserve price to cover/protect the item
In any case, even if you ignore these aspects of the rules, before publishing the auction, during the listing creation phase eBay shows you whether the posting is free or whether there are additional costs to bear.
If you realize you have made mistakes, you can always contact support for assistance....

but I'm trying to tell eBay that I've never sold anything, so how am I supposed to pay them anything???

OP2 years agolie, I'm using other accounts only to buy, I don't sell on ebay anymore after what happened, I'm using bakeca and subito and I sell lots of things without paying anything or way less than on ebay.
I mean, on ebay I haven't sold anything, so why should I pay for not having sold anything? so at this point I take the little money I have and flush it down the toilet just for the hell of it!!!

Anyway, to owe money to eBay you don't need to sell items... just list an item with some sales options and you pay even without having sold it.

·2 years agoConsidering the price difference at which an item is sold on guaranteed marketplaces like ebay, Vinted, Wallapop, Etsy, .... compared with classified-ad sites like Subito, Bakeca, Fb Marketplace, ....., I'd say you're "paying" a lot more.
In other words, buyers are willing to spend a bit more if there is an intermediary that guarantees the transaction. If they have to trust the seller blindly, they need to be enticed by much lower prices.
