What kinds of shipping options exist for small and light items?

I’ve already used posta1 and also got a negative feedback, I sent another item on the 7th, and it still hasn’t been delivered, even though it was 20km from me.

And then there are sellers who offer items for 3-4 euros shipped. Not to mention tracked shipments from China.

So, if in the future I decided to become a professional seller, what are the affordable tracked alternatives?

Is there some kind of business line with the post office? I looked but didn’t find anything for weight brackets this small.

generally speaking, you either use posta 4 or posta 1 (.... and you take your chances, especially with the first one.....), or you avoid shipping small, low-value items.....

PS on the negative feedback: if the tracking on the Poste website says it was delivered, you can ask Ebay to remove it.... in any case, you can also report the buyer .....

more than anything else I wonder how there are items for 2-3 euros shipped.

For the feedback I did everything, reported the buyer, contacted support 3 times, nothing, there was no way.

The problem, in my opinion, is that in the tracking number it shows as delivered, but as the country, there is the reference area of the local post office. So for them it shows as delivered somewhere else. Which seems absurd to me, that there is another person with the same first and last name, street etc. just a few km away.

You most likely ran into a rather dishonest user who, having discovered this FLAW in the system, takes advantage of it to get items for free.

I understand the situation and I realize that this injustice causes frustration and discouragement, but in my opinion it is a rather isolated case.

I use posta1 too for low-value shipments and statistically it has a pretty good cost/benefit ratio.

For small, low-value items there are no similar alternatives.

Report this buyer to ebay and then blacklist him and move forward with serenity and trust.

well, in the meantime I haven’t received any refund from him, nor has he requested one. so I don’t understand why. especially for an item worth just a few euros.

I reported him, as well as the negative feedback. But nothing.

It’s a bit disappointing, but honestly I don’t care much.

So then it could, and I mean COULD, be that the following happened:

At some post offices it is common practice to scan the code at the post office and NOT when the mail carrier is in front of the recipient's gate/door.

So it could happen that the envelope appears delivered where the code was scanned (at the post office) but COULD then not actually be delivered to the recipient.

In your case the buyer, not knowing anything about eBay rules, probably thought that the only thing to do was leave negative feedback.

If he hasn't opened any refund request, he most likely is acting in good faith.

You can still contact the buyer and ask whether he would be willing to revise the feedback, maybe making clear that it is your intention to refund him in full.

hi, yes I also requested a review from the buyer, and exchanged a few messages too, but nothing. I really tried every possible avenue, but nothing, except a huge waste of time and stress.

So, where do you think the envelope ended up? Did the mailman keep it?

I don't know whether these devices issued to postmen also have an integrated GPS system.

If that were the case, it would be fair to think that if the envelope is "shot" into the post office and delivery has to take place in a neighboring municipality a few km away, the delivery result would show an area different from the buyer's address.

The package could still be at the post office, maybe forgotten on some shelf waiting to be "found" again, or it could have been kept by the postman, or it could have been delivered and left unattended....

It's hard to tell....

How many days have passed from the delivery result to today?

Sometimes delivery can take longer than expected.

if you sell as a private individual, at this point, I wouldn't worry: I wouldn't sell very low-value items, risking, by force of things, low-price shipments that aren't tracked (or potentially disputable.... )

as I mentioned in other posts, sometimes with support it partly comes down to luck, beyond the way you contact them (email, chat, phone....... I can say there are substantial differences already in the way you contact them..... then it also depends on the operator and also on any previous history behind it.....): in any case the report to the buyer remains...... obviously if it's the only one received it will count for little or nothing, a different case if the buyer receives several in a short time and/or with a few purchases.....

For small items there is only posta4 or posta1.

Posta 4 is not tracked and posta1 only has the delivery confirmation result, which does not always work properly.....

As an alternative there is ebay-packlink (eBay's shipping manager), which has excellent courier rates.

For PROs there is packlink PRO.

Then there is a whole wide range of brokers or direct shipping contracts with the various couriers, with rates that vary based on shipping volume.

hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes, posta1 often doesn’t work, and ebay doesn’t take the tracking number into account in case of a dispute.

Yes, I know ebay’s rates, but for items worth 2-3 euros, I can’t spend 5 euros on shipping. Also because there are a lot of people with better prices. Unless they use NON-tracked methods.

I mean items maybe under 100 grams, I don’t think couriers can offer a low rate for something so light.
