Packlink shipping pickup
Summary: No details of the discussion content are available.
Hi,
recently I switched to handling Ebay shipping because the intermediary I was using raised their prices. I use SDA, with which I have always gotten along well.
It often happens that the pickup is not made on the day that comes up when I place the order.
For example, yesterday I created 4 labels with pickup today but nobody came by. I called the pickup person, with whom I’m now on familiar terms, and he told me he doesn’t see any pickups.
Is this possible? Is there a way to contact someone, I assume Packlink?
Thanks, bye

·1 year agoYes, but don't wait until tomorrow for the pickup because you could waste another useful day to the buyer's detriment.
Open a Packlink ticket right away.
Go to spedizioni.ebay.it and log in with your eBay account, then next to the shipment or shipments open a support ticket with the reason "mancato ritiro"
Kind regards

OP1 year agoAh, this was the missing "piece", the link spedizioni.ebay.it.
Here I was able to verify that the shipments generated on 22/01 were booked for pickup on 23/01, but the SDA clerk told me he couldn't "see" them. Today they came to pick up the later parcels and he took them all away, including the ones rescheduled for 27/01.
I’ll keep an eye on the shipping list so I have all the data at hand, thanks

·1 year agoYes, contact PackLink and report the missed pick-up.
Keep in mind that for SDA these shipments are “low priority” (if they cost less, there’s a reason...) and if the branches are already overloaded, they’re put in for pickup the next day.
When brokers negotiate large volumes like PackLink can do (we’re talking about over 250K monthly shipments) they get big discounts, but these come with some trade-offs (as you’ll have noticed, the difference between a 24-48 hour delivery and one in three days is minimal, from 50 cents to one euro...).

OP1 year agoFair points, thanks
I tried GLS and DHL without intermediaries and I had some big problems without acceptable solutions, even though the prices weren’t exactly convenient.
Then I switched to SDA with a broker and I haven’t had any more problems, and the prices are more "human".
With the broker the pickup notice to SDA’s headquarters was within 24 hours. Packlink doesn’t seem to do the same, even though it shows the pickup date as the next day, which is often not respected.
I choose the service Express Pickup with delivery in 24/48 hours, and if they pick it up as planned, delivery is super fast. The problem is when they pick it up one or two days later.
I don’t know if the problem is clear
