Linking a checking account
Hello everyone.
I’ve been a non-professional seller since 2007 and up to now I’ve used Ebay both to buy and to sell. Lately, though, I’m rather skeptical about being forced to link a bank account to my account in order to be able to sell. I would simply like to ask whether those of you who have done it are finding difficulties or running into problems of various kinds. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies

·4 years agoI inserted the IBAN of my lottomaticard, but I'm having problems. I don't receive the micro deposits for account validation and so Ebay keeps rejecting incoming payments for me. Has this happened to others?

They've been saying on their site for months that they're working to enable direct debits, but they still haven't done it.

I tried to validate the account for my Mastercard prepaid card, but the system is encountering problems.
I need to receive a sum, so I entered my regular checking account, but I’d like to know if any of you have had problems with Mastercard prepaid cards.

·3 years agoTo validate a bank account, ebay sends two small micro-deposits of a few cents.
To receive these micro-deposits, these three conditions must be met
1) The bank account / card account must have the direct debit option.
2) The bank account / card account must not have a minimum top-up amount (1 euro or 10 euros won't work because the micro-deposits are not accepted)
3) The card account must allow the sending and receiving of foreign (European) bank transfers
So check that the card account you are using meets these requirements.

·5 years agoNo problem, I receive the payments on Postepay Evolution a few days after the sale (around 2 to 4). Obviously, if the payment happens on Friday, you have to wait longer because the weekend is in between.

·2 years agoI tried to add a Postepay Evolution card as a bank account, but when I tried to register its IBAN, Ebay rejected it as invalid.
What did I do wrong?

·2 years agoUsually that kind of error appears when the IBAN code is incorrect, try searching Google for a verification tool.

·5 years agoYou don't need to link a checking account. A prepaid card like Postepay Evolution with an IBAN code is enough; just enter that and you're good to go.
