NEW eBay GUIDES .... poor us sellers
Negative feedback, request for review, eBay response new guidelines cannot be deleted
Buyer :
ON 16/12 NO INVOICE OR RECEIPT OF PURCHASE SENT. MANY EXCUSES, WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE PRETEXTS. PERSONALLY, A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH RECEIPT. CALL RECEIVED 18/12 AT 9:00 AM THE SELLER - WITHOUT PROVIDING HIS OWN DETAILS, EVEN AFTER A FORMAL REQUEST - USES RUDE LANGUAGE AND INSULTS THE UNDERSIGNED BUYER BOTH AS A PERSON AND AS A PROFESSIONAL. SINCE THE COMMUNICATION IS RECORDED, THE MOST APPROPRIATE ACTION WILL BE TAKEN. TO AVOID!!!
seller :
Invoice available in your tax drawer with date 15-12-23, copy sent to eBay. Since this is B2B, a paper copy is not предусмотрed, normative sent to eBay.
There is no message from me where I am rude, messages available on the site.
I never called this buyer and there is no proof that shows this!!
eBay’s response: we cannot assess whether you called, so for this reason we cannot remove the feedback, as a friend I tell you that you are right but I cannot do anything. eBay’s new guidelines written by Mickey Mouse and signed by Donald Duck!!! Value our time and above all remember that we pay a subscription and should receive assistance, and not be treated like mere numbers!!!

·2 years agoLet’s say the gist of the answer has already been given to you... but I’d like to add that in online sales you shouldn’t stop at the simple guidelines provided by the marketplace, because the real guideline is something innate that you don’t read in the rules: knowing how to deal with people!
I’d also add that sending a copy of the invoice by email is a courtesy that is included in every electronic invoice creation program, and we have buyers’ email addresses for every sale.
Still, let’s say that with the high number of transactions you carry out each month, the “differently abled” or picky customer is, unfortunately, inevitable.
Best regards and good work!

OP2 years agoAs far as I know, eBay obscures the buyer's email, but the customer complained that he had not received a PAPER copy! In B2B sales, European regulations do not require a paper copy inside the package; the invoice was sent to the tax drawer the day after the purchase!!!
If the customer is "picky," that does not authorize him to leave negative feedback and write that he received a phone call, I stated that I had NEVER called, the buyer's statement should have the same importance as the seller's statement if there is no concrete evidence.
marioelegio
·2 years agoYou didn't get the point of the discussion.
It's no coincidence that the paper copy is called a courtesy copy; it's not mandatory but……
You can't complain about the way the buyer behaved when yours are even worse (just read the comments left on the feedback received).

·2 years agoThe email is simply encrypted, not hidden, and therefore it is always valid for sending communications or documents directly... on ebay for more than 10 years and you still don't know that...
Forget the regulations, but learn how to deal with customers, you have the possibility to send the courtesy copy... you can also print it... and therefore put it in the package and as such it is a formal courtesy you extend to customers, not everyone is able to access the tax drawer or many don't even know it exists, obviously that is not an excuse but you, "who know how to deal with people" anticipate a problem that may arise.
The customer can leave you a negative review at any time, he doesn't need any written authorization from anyone, it's only you who need to be aware of it and try to anticipate similar situations... did he ask you for the invoice? Put it in the package and it would have been over... but instead you cling to the regulations... and the result?
Since you can't even prove the buyer's statement yourself, it's obvious ebay sticks to the facts... which is why... and after 10 years you should know... it's always better that communications take place through the official channel, namely ebay messaging.
So there's no point getting "worked up" for not having been able to handle the customer... you already know whose fault it is...
Have a nice day.

OP2 years agothe email is obscured, the seller is sent an email generated by ebay! the email generated by Ebay has no value because it does not identify the recipient.
Just read my feedback and maybe you can also understand, though I strongly doubt it, why for 12 years I have been running 2 stores on the Ebay platform, 1 on Amazon as a Business Prime seller and 1 e-commerce site.
Unfortunately we, as a company, unlike you perhaps, do not make 5 sales a day, but 200 to 300, which is why we cannot act as assistants, we limit ourselves to complying with Italian laws. If you do not know about the tax drawer or you are not able to download the invoice, do not request it, also because you sika700 should know that the paper invoice has no value, issued for a B2B it has no value, it is only paper .
The customer asked for the invoice by sending a message on Friday 15-12-23 at 19:32, after the package had already been shipped, but for the reasons I tried to explain to you earlier we do not provide a paper copy for B2B sales. (if you want I can send you the messages with date and time)
All communications took place on the portal, THEY CHANGED THE RULES! EBAY's response: if the customer says that you called, Ebay has no way to check, so it cannot remove the feedback) CAN YOU UNDERSTAND????
The fault lies with people like you who write nonsense without knowing the rules or regulations.

OP2 years agobefore giving lessons and writing just to feel important and get views , you should document the legal timeframes a buyer has to request an invoice , unlike the receipt which must ALWAYS be issued .What is indicated in your listings is not exactly legal , maybe the Guardia Di Finanza would have something to say about it , if you want we can do a test so you can prove me wrong, I await how to proceed .
marioelegio
·2 years agoInstead, what SIKA claims is perfectly in line with the regulations, so the Guardia di Finanza would have nothing to object to. It would only laugh at your claims.
(from any online guide, e.g.: https://www.smartius.it/finance-fintech/guida-fiscale-ecommerce/vendite-online-bisogna-sempre-emettere-fattura-o-scontrino/)
ONLINE SALES TO PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS
All online sales made to private individuals (B2C) in the context of direct or indirect eCommerce do not in fact require the issuance of an invoice or receipt. It is sufficient for the daily receipts to be entered in the sales receipts register and for all VAT obligations to be fulfilled, such as periodic settlements, retention of documentation, etc.
With regard to VAT itself, the distinction between direct and indirect eCommerce becomes relevant again, given their different tax treatment.
However, note: if the private individual expressly requests the issuance of an invoice, the merchant must issue it and cannot invoke the above exemption.
ONLINE SALES TO BUSINESSES OR PROFESSIONALS
For online sales made to VAT-number holders (B2B) in the context of direct or indirect eCommerce, on the other hand, the issuance of an invoice is always required, to be recorded in the appropriate register of issued invoices.
After all, certifying the consideration through the issuance of an invoice makes it possible to trace the transaction both for the seller and for the buyer, both of whom are tax-relevant subjects.
In conclusion, for all retail activities, aimed primarily at private consumers, the simplification provided for the certification of receipts is at its maximum: no receipt or invoice must be issued, unless the buyer requests otherwise.
Consequently, if you buy a good or service online, the seller's failure to provide the invoice or receipt should not cast doubt on their tax compliance.

OP2 years agoI’m not even replying to you, but I sincerely wish you a tax audit.

·2 years agoNever had anything to fear

·2 years agoYou too, before writing nonsense, use your brain: if someone doesn’t have a physical store and sells only online, they have no obligation to issue an invoice... and if they don’t have a physical store, they don’t even have a cash register... so what are they supposed to issue the receipt with??
You know there’s the sales register, right?
Anyway, you who boast about 300 sales a day still have time to waste writing senseless things here on the forum... so you also have plenty of time to “manage” your customers by giving them support... anyone can sell, but few are good at after-sales, and that’s what makes a seller truly “professional”.
You who lean on regulations and laws, remember that a simple sheet of paper, which for you has no value, would have solved the issue for the customer... it’s none of your business what they would have done with it... but it was your business to satisfy a customer.
So there’s no point boasting about the number of sales, no point saying you “know how” to manage lots of marketplaces and e-commerce sites, when you get lost in the written rules... remember that the rule of knowing how to behave, nobody has written it yet!
Happy selling.

OP2 years agoI see you're in great company, I only have online stores and I have a cash register, but evidently it is an option reserved for those who regularly pay taxes and do not look for strange ways to evade them, do you all agree that during an inspection all sales made on the various web portals must match what is reported in the sales register?? maybe it would be a good idea to update yourselves, buy a cash register and issue receipts regularly.
And I can assure you that I don't get lost in the written regulations, unlike you I operate in a compliant manner and don't try to bend the rules!!
sika700
·2 years agoAnd I can add that you operate "like shit"... and since you're good with rules, laws and regulations, find it for me and attach it: which article of law imposes and requires anyone who sells exclusively online (therefore anyone who does direct and indirect ecommerce) to have a cash register, telematic as of today.
Don't clutch at straws and answer this simple request... then we'll see which one of us is the clown... or simply needs to get up to date!

·2 years agoGiven that the point here is to help those who post questions.
Given that you don’t seem like a saint yourself either.
Given that any personal judgments should always be put second, in my opinion.
I advise you to contact an operator via chat, avoiding a smug or confrontational tone.
Very calmly, point out to the operator that the negative feedback is not in compliance, just as marioelegio wrote to you.
But since you replied in the same tone, it’s not certain they’ll remove it for you.
For future feedback, I advise you to avoid replying in a way that could be harmful to the buyer.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoprofessor with 187 sales, I replied in the same tone because I contacted Ebay 3 times, I sent all the documentation (copy of invoice with date, etc., the messages are on the portal) I spoke with a manager and the answer was: THE FEEDBACK CANNOT BE REMOVED BECAUSE UNDER EBAY'S NEW GUIDELINES WE DO NOT HAVE PROOF THAT SHOWS THAT YOU BSYSTEM DID NOT CALL THE CUSTOMER, WE MUST ADHERE TO HIS STATEMENT.
Instead, on the "I don't think you're exactly a saint either" I'd avoid making personal judgments, because these are also comments open to everyone and I could also take action elsewhere.

·2 years agoIf this is your yardstick, then practically no one could express an opinion worth noting because they don't have 20k feedback. I wonder what you're doing on the forum, since you know everything and you're right. 🤣😂
There are sellers who, when they get a negative feedback, simply reply: "the buyer received a refund for the item" or "we remain at your disposal to resolve the issue, please contact us" and other sellers who .......
The world is beautiful because it is varied.
Kind regards.
bsystem
OP2 years agoif instead this is your yardstick, then you should try to connect before writing.
heavenwelkin
·2 years agoWell, if the manager explained to you that the guidelines have changed and that now you cannot simply request the removal of the red feedback, you will have to take other routes, such as after-sales support.
Kind regards.
bsystem
OP2 years agoand you should take a path where at the end there is someone who can help you, because I understood that you are not able to understand my report, but don't worry you're not alone!!
never again in touch

·2 years agoIn conclusion:
- eBay support was not helpful to you
- speaking with an eBay manager didn’t help you
- The forum isn’t helpful to you because, according to you, we are not able to understand
If you find someone able to understand your issues and help you, let us know.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoOn this forum I thought I would find serious and professional sellers, instead I found people incompetent in sales and Ebay rules, but professional sellers when it comes to finding tax loopholes.
Selling online also means doing your homework and understanding what rules the site owner sets!! IGNORANT PEOPLE, ARE YOU EVEN ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THAT IF ANY IDIOT WRITES THAT YOU OFFENDED THEM, EBAY DOESN'T REMOVE THE FEEDBACK BECAUSE IT HAS NO PROOF TO THE CONTRARY?
ARE YOU ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE STATEMENTS OF A BUYER SINCE SEPTEMBER 2023 HAVE MORE VALUE THAN YOURS!!!

·2 years agoI’ll also add to what was rightly pointed out by @heavenwelkinthat recording private phone calls is allowed even without the other party’s consent.
Obviously, public dissemination is not allowed, nor is making the transcription known, but they can be used (subject to the judge’s consent) in the event of legal proceedings.
bsystem
OP2 years agoIn which state is this? because in the European community it is mandatory to inform first, get consent, and only then can you record.
If the judge authorizes the recordings, it's because there are legal reasons.
The undersigned has never called and Ebay, having no proof or recorded phone call, should not take a side
marioelegio
·2 years agoThe feedback is formally almost correct, I say almost because there’s the last sentence that you could use as grounds for a complaint of aggravated defamation. That to avoid is a subjective judgment that the buyer extrapolated from a single transaction and that can be considered damaging to your honorability as a seller. However, you need to contact a lawyer and formally file a complaint against the buyer and eBay (as an accomplice to the defamation, since it did not remove the feedback).
However, keep in mind, as Heavenwelkin already told you, that all those you replied to incorrectly could also sue you for the same reason.

OP2 years agoyou can reply
"person to avoid "
"fake buyer"
"fake person"
"BUYER TO BLOCK "
"before writing nonsense, it would be advisable to read the descriptions"
when it can be proven with facts by providing concrete evidence that the customer is fake and that they left a comment without knowing the products but simply to harm the seller , if you can, let Heavenwelkin. regards
marioelegio
·2 years agoIf you believe that what you wrote is correct, how can you then complain if someone else writes that you are a seller to avoid?
There are no rules that apply only to others and not to you.
The offense of aggravated defamation (art. 595, para. 2 of the penal code) considers only the spread of statements harmful to others' honor, without distinguishing whether they are true or not. No one will ask you to prove what you claim; you are not a judge and you cannot issue rulings and publish them. Contact a lawyer and they will explain what you can write and what is better left unsaid.

·2 years agoHaving a certain tact with buyers is not something everyone has.
It is not strictly necessary to sell an item online, but when problems come up, in many cases it helps ............
replying to feedback with phrases like:
"person to avoid"
"fake buyer"
"fake person"
"BUYER TO BLOCK "
"before writing nonsense, it would be advisable to read the descriptions"
Does not put you (in my personal opinion) in a better position than the buyer.
Best regards.
