seller cancels order

Good evening, I won 3 auctions, so I contacted the seller asking him kindly to send me an invoice with a single shipping charge.

The seller sends me the invoice with 3 shipping charges and when I point it out to him he calls me a loser (me, not him, since he wants to make an extra 10 euros) and cancels the order with the reason "problems with buyer's address".

Is something like this really allowed and there's nothing I can do about it? Is there an email to contact eBay and report this seller's name? I also have proof of the private messages if needed.

Given that if the seller called you that, you can DEMAND that the items be shipped to you in 3 separate packages with 3 distinct tracking codes.

Given that there are various situations where a seller cannot send a single invoice with combined shipping.

This could be the case where the seller was not able to modify the invoices or tried and it was not possible to do so.

Then it should also be said that combined single shipping should never be DEMANDED unless it is expressly stated in the auction that the seller offers the possibility of combining shipping for multiple items.

So the seller should be contacted before any purchase.

You cannot buy 3 items and then DEMAND combined shipping.

If the seller DOES NOT WANT to or IS NOT ABLE to or CANNOT send a single invoice for 3 items with combined shipping, I advise you to accept the cancellation by the seller without too much argument.

If the problem was that, according to him, since I had won the auctions for too low a price, he would have sent me everything in one single shipment and made me pay for 3 🙂

He knew very well how to do a combined invoice, since I did receive one, but of course he left in the cost of the 3 shipments.

I repeat, a platform like ebay should not allow all this, or at least the buyer should be able to respond to the order cancellation before it becomes effective.

If I sell something and I don’t like the price, I cancel it and we’re friends again and I can keep selling as if nothing happened?

If you don’t like selling something for 1 euro, set the starting price at 10 euro, what do you expect if someone then buys it from you for 1 euro?

No, the seller receives a warning which, if added to others, excludes them permanently from the platform.

The buyer should be able to reply to the order cancellation before it becomes effective.

It is not possible for buyers when the seller does not sell and for sellers when the buyer does not pay.

He canceled it, saying there was a problem with my address.

He knew perfectly well how to do the combined invoice since I did receive it, only he casually left the cost of the 3 shipments on it.

It’s not certain that a combined invoice can be combined with other single auctions you’ve won, and not even with Buy It Now unless the seller has set up the combined shipping rules (which usually almost nobody does).
If the auctions had Buy It Now with purchase offer and you sent the purchase offers, then the shipments can be combined.

I repeat, a platform like eBay should not allow all this, or at the very least the buyer should be able to respond to the cancellation of the order before it becomes effective.

Did the seller cancel the purchases on his own, or did he let 4 days pass as per the rules?
If you don’t pay the invoices within 4 days, you’re the one at fault and you get reported.
If the seller canceled the sales himself, check the email for the reason he used, because if he stated that it was you who asked to cancel, then he doesn’t get the report.
But you can report him to eBay and you can also mention this in the feedback.

That’s not how it works.
If you don’t like selling something for 1 euro, set the starting price at 10 euros; what do you want if someone then buys it from you for 1 euro?
You can report his behavior in the feedback, but be careful about how you write it and what you write, because otherwise they’ll remove it.

Do a search on the forum about feedback removed by eBay so you can get a better idea of the issue.

He entered "problem with the buyer's address" as the reason and canceled it after a few minutes.

I can't leave feedback, I don't see the order at all among my purchases.

I would like to report it, but how can I do it?

Obviously if a seller states: "the buyer asked me to cancel the order" or "there are problems with the address" he doesn't get any warning.

Recently ebay has introduced some changes to order cancellations, hopefully they can curb this bad habit of sellers who cancel and then get away with it through simple tricks without any consequences.

Good morning heavenwelkin, but I seem to remember that if the buyer still pays, after a certain number of cancellations by the seller for all kinds of reasons, they start with account restrictions and then with expulsion

This is exactly the problem: he canceled everything without my approval, and I have the messages as proof. But I don’t understand whether or how I can do anything to fight something like this, because if someone wins an auction at a "good" price and then sees everything canceled, what’s the point?

That’s why, for a cancellation, they should also include the other party’s opinion...
