Good evening,I’m a seller who recently joined eBay. I have only sold a few items so far, and last week I sold an item without the key that limits its use. I should point out that I wrote in the description that the item was missing the key and for that reason the price was significantly lower than the market cost. On top of that, today the buyer receives the item and complains to me about the missing key, so I reply by pointing out that it was written in the description. He continues the discussion by telling me that the product is full of scratches, attaching some photos. At this point I become suspicious because the product was checked before shipping and I even took photos that show the excellent condition of the product, so I reply telling him that if he made the purchase by mistake, he can return the product at his own expense, and I will refund him, keeping only the shipping costs. He tells me that if I want the product I have to pay for the shipping and he wants a full refund.What’s the best thing for me to do? I have the photos that show the product is intact, so I would involve eBay, but from what I’ve read it seems like eBay is always on the buyers’ side, so I wouldn’t want to risk eBay closing my account and ruling in his favor.What do you suggest I do?
