For months now I haven’t been able to access my eBay account anymore, since the identity verification code is only sent to me by SMS and in my account the only phone number listed is my home landline, which obviously can’t receive SMS.Previously I had the option to receive the verification code either by email or by phone call, but now these options are no longer available and the only option is SMS, which obviously can’t be used because of the landline number.Incredibly, I called eBay customer service several times to try to change the number from landline to mobile, but I wasn’t able to, and the only solution I was given was always to create a new account.It’s unbelievable that I can no longer access my old account simply because the only identity verification option I’m given is an SMS sent to a landline number that can’t receive SMS, and that I can’t change the phone number, absurd.
