Good evening everyone, I'm writing for the first time to ask for advice about a situation that's been bothering me. I sold a card on Ebay to a buyer in the United States. The card was delivered, but the buyer opened a return/full refund request claiming that the card is not authentic. According to him, the print quality seems suspicious and the thickness of the card does not match that of an authentic card. I should point out that I sold the card in complete good faith, believing it to be authentic. I had not noticed anything suspicious at all and, above all, this is the first time a buyer has reported a problem of this kind to me. Now I'd like to understand how I should handle this properly. From what I know, Ebay often tends to side heavily with the buyer in cases of “item not as described” or “item not authentic”. I could accept the return, but at that point I would have to refund the buyer and also provide a shipping label for the return from the United States to Italy. The problem is հենց this: where can I buy a return label from the USA to Italy at a reasonable price? Looking at the main shipping services, the costs seem very high and could make the return economically not worth it compared with the value of the card. Also, it's not clear to me whether, when it gets back to Italy, I would also have to pay customs clearance costs, VAT, or other customs charges, considering that it would be a return and not a new purchase. What do you think would be the best thing to do in a situation like this? Accept the return and look for a cheap label? Ask the buyer for more proof first? Or wait and ask eBay to step in? Sorry for the long message, but I'm pretty worried because it seems to me that in these cases the seller risks losing a lot, especially when international return shipping costs almost as much as the item sold. Thanks in advance to anyone who can give me some advice. Have a good evening
