How should I deal with a seller who scammed me?
I bought from a Chinese online store that had a lot of feedback and almost 100% positive reviews. They sent me the tracking number, but as soon as it arrived it immediately went back. I blamed SDA, which is certainly not known for its reliability, and the customer service of the aforementioned Chinese online store assured me they would resend the package as soon as possible. I waited like an idiot and realized too late that I had been scammed, because at this point that’s what it is. Now they don’t even reply to my emails anymore; at first they would respond after a couple of weeks, repeating that they would ship it as soon as possible.
What should I do? Is there any way to at least leave negative feedback, since I can’t even do that?

Mentore3 years agoIf more than 60 days have passed since the purchase, you can’t leave feedback.
For delivery, if the address was correct, it depends on what the courier stated. If they stated that you were absent, there won’t be much you can do, even with a PayPal dispute or a chargeback.

OP3 years agoThe courier didn’t even try to make the delivery because I live in an isolated place and it wasn’t worth it for him, I know for sure because the exact same thing happened again a few weeks later, only this time I was expecting it and went down to the SDA office to speak with one of his superiors and had him called on his cell phone right then and there, where he shamelessly lied, not knowing I was there listening on speakerphone; at least there I got the satisfaction of exposing him. Unfortunately though, that’s a very Italian problem, I wasn’t able to intercept the package in any way, it was a type of shipment that, if it doesn’t find the recipient, is sent straight back after just a few days of storage and bad luck played a part too.
The point is that the store in question got the package back and kept it, I can no longer leave feedback or anything else and I suspect that’s actually their “standard” behavior. Is there really no way, even just, to let people know that this particular store is a scam?

Mentore3 years agoI’ve been working with SDA for years... if they don’t find you at home twice (or if they don’t feel like delivering it to you twice...) and it goes into storage, you have 10 to 15 days to go pick it up at the office... the story that it was sent back to the sender immediately doesn’t hold up... you probably waited too long yourself!
So why dump responsibility on the seller for something that isn’t their fault?
If you had been willing to pay for a new shipment, they would have replied right away!
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoSnappy reply, maybe because I'm not saying anything new? Couriers have this nasty habit of always being in a hurry, they regularly call to ask to leave packages at bars, clubs or shops just so they don't have to make those extra 9 km to get where I live, and they only started leaving my packages in front of my house after the rant I gave them directly at the office. But in the meantime they cost me an arm and a leg. The next time I was home and I followed the package step by step, no one showed up at my door and no one rang the bell, I caught the courier out in the open while he was on speakerphone with a colleague. I get that you're an exploited, underpaid category and whatever else you want to call it, or maybe I got the rotten apple, but the fact remains that I took a pretty serious hit, and in any case that's not the point of the topic: I paid hundreds of euros for a purchase on eBay and received nothing.
Besides, do you think I wasn't willing to pay a few dozen euros more for a new shipment of an item that was worth hundreds? And it would still have been a scam, still better than having thrown hundreds of euros down the toilet, but it's still a scam. At the very least they should have the decency to answer emails. This is just a plain and simple scam, they kept my money and I got nothing, and I can't even get back at them with a negative feedback, which I think they would deserve.
