Higher offer, Fraud?

Hi, 

I am a bit new to ebay and bidding. 

Today, I made an offer in the last seconds of the bid for the object shown in the attached screenshot. And still, there was another bidder who was to able to bid higher. However, if you look at the bidding history, his higher bid occured almost 17 minutes before my bid. How is that possible?! Is there any kind of fraud here?

There's no fraud. It is Ebay's automatic bidding system, instead.
If the other buyer has scheduled a higher maximum offer amount than yours and he has done it before you, Ebay's automatic system will increase his bid by the maximum amount step right to exceed yours.
For he set this maximum bid before you, the system will make appear the maximum bid on registration strings, showing an earlier time than yours.
So no fraud. It's simply a technical question.
But now I ask you a question: why do you write in English if you are registered in Italy and you are also posting in the Italian site user forum?
