most of that awful stuff went around us polls, my protection dome seems to be holding still, lol! there was some quartersized hail north and east of us, a couple of friends had some roof damage,  but nothing major, thanks be! 

  the house across the street, now there's a story for you. me and my favorite cabbie saved a young man and his puppy's life that day! i was waiting on my cab to go to work, looking out the frot door for him, and i saw smoke, black smoke, coming from the chimney. i knew that wasn't right, so i called 911. chuck pulled up just as the flames burst from the roof in the back of the house. we beat on doors and windows because i remembered that the son was working 3rd shift that month, and he came stumbling out half asleep with just a pair of pj bottoms on. he started screaming for rufus, we saw the puppy and chuck ran in and got it, and i went in my house and got the boy curtis's slippers and a coat to wear. then the fireguys came and i went to work. 

   so, fast forward a year or so, we had some pretty high winds and the old dead tree that was behind the burned house fell, partly on the house and partly on the wires leading to the transformer from 2 other houses, wicked long branches on that thing! it took 2 days for them to get all of the tree removed from the wires safely, my side of the street was affected by brownouts, their side had no power at all for 2 days! 

   the good part is that i got to talk to the westar guys and they will be removing the dead branches and 2 trees from MY alley to avoid this happening here and at the houses across the alley frrom us. ad i don't have to pay a dime, since the trees aren't actually on MY land, all the alleys here are city property. i also talked to them about the dead tree in the yard of the house next door, they said they will talk to george about removing it, since it could take out my roof and ALL of my wires if it falls my way. 

  sorry so long, lol! 

  liam is settling in nicely, the whole moving thing does't seem to be phasing him, lol! he has such a serious little face most of the time, but he was smiling at his sister and brother in one picture!

  liam got to go home today, yay! elliot should be able to go home by saturday too. we have more storms coming, but this is a good thing, we need the rain. i think i mentioned the huge wildfires we had in western kansas? there are some really wonderful people in this world, people are bringing hay to feed the livestock from all over the country, and helping people rebuild their homes, it's a wonderful thing! 

  how's the weather over there, roberto? hoping you are well! by the way, i thought of you with a smile the other day. my small friend trenton wants to learn how to cook italian food like i do! he's 10, my friend deni's grandson, i love that boy to bits!

The original recipe is that of the video ... if you want to replace the ingradiente with pepperoni ...  do not call it the "Amatriciana" but "Americana" !!!
